Just bought one off ebay and wondered if anyone else has had a brain wave and fitted one of these puppies? I have a petrol wabasto coolant heater in the doka so understand the way they work, just wondered if anyone had fitted the ebber diesel model and any tips that go with fitting one.

I have Jed! Had it in there now for about 4 years. It's an Aircooled van but I swapped the blower stuff under the dashboard for a watercooled one with heater matrix and piped the ebber through that. Works great!
At the moment I have a calorifier tank in there as well and some of the hot water is piped through that to give me hot running water but I might be changing that bit over to a gas heater instead!

Brilliant!!! Those calorifier tanks are suppose to take ages to warm up through the ebber though arnt they? How do you get on? I have seen some inline heat exchanger for hot water that they use in OZ that do a similar thing but heat it as it goes through the pipe rather than store it. The calorifier tank is suppose to be very good when heated through the engine but you cant do this anyway. How does it go on with the leisure battery? I have since found out that some westy T4 vans have these fitted too, I just want to know that it will last on the leisure battery ok before I get rid of the propex.

If you do fit it Jed , I think I have one in the shed that you could have for spares .
I got it off a transit years ago , was going to fit it where the aux. blower is under the rear seat
ps I've got the water tank as well

d5 is a monster. i find my d2 plenty and it doesn`t need to run for long before it goes in to sleep mode. that d5 will probally fry you all in 5mins.
you`ll never need clothes again.

Well I went and picked it up,, and after about two hours getting my head round how to wire it up the b'stard didnt work. The water pump is fubard I messaged the fella who sold it to me and to his credit he said he would come over and pick it up/give me my money back etc. I did tell him just to send me £75 for a new pump but I get the feeling he thought I was trying it on.
