Fitting a multivan rock and roll bed.

Has anyone converted a T25 Caravelle folding rear seat, to the 'fold flat' rear seat of a multivan? My factory fitted seat folds on to it's self, and is therefore about 9" higher than the floor over the engine. I have made up a removable plinth that allows us to sleep on a level floor, but without the seat rocking forward the bed is a bit too short. What I would like to is get hold of a multivan seat, and fit the trim to it from my existing bench seat - allowing me to keep the Saiga (beidge velour) trim consistent throughout the vehicle. I am fairly sure that I won't be able to find a rock and roll version of what I already have. I recon the way to go would be to make a a hybrid seat out of the standard seat, and a multivan seat. Is this possible?

we had a similar problem.
my wife solved it by ripping out the old bed and putting in a futon.
you can get futon matresses in several colours, they are cheap, and much lighter
than a rock and roll bed.
if you wish to do any interior altreations the bed simply slides out of the back door, and leaves you with stacks of room to move.
i cut the frame of ours down by six inches in width to allow for more storeage space.
the futon converts into a bench seat in about one tenth of a second.

Thanks for your reply, the Futon is a good idea. However have you seen the Multivan rear seat? It literally is your standard full width seat with belts and headrests that folds totally flat for sleeping on. I really like the standard bench seat I have in my Caravelle at the moment, and don't want to have different seat cover material in the back to the front seats (a bit anal I know). I would be really interested to know if it is possible to fit my seat cushions to a multivan seat frame, and then have a fold flat version of my original seat. I'm not scared of a bit of welding or drilling.

Crikey, I wouldn't have thought of looking for a specific conversion kit. Thanks Lloyd, that is just what I'm after.
