Cost of a respray and proof?

Hi guys,

Well after 2 truly amazing weeks successfully touring France, Germany and Switzerland we have decided that Poppy is one hot chick who needs some new clothes! lol! So we want to get her pared down, fixed in the rusty places (which to be fair, she hasn't got much of - mostly superficial), chassis cleaned up and proofed for rust and body resprayed all over nice and fresh. So, before we go out and get quotes.....and see our bank balance plummet...we were wondering if anyone could give any advice on how much this is likely to cost or what quotes to expect.

She is a 1988 T25 high roof with windows on all sides (i.e. no metal where a window could be...yeah I know what I'm on about lol! ). We would just want one plain colour (no metallics) and only the exterior to be sprayed as the interior is good.

We would be happy for her to be sent away to the right place over winter if we find a good place (within the UK!!!)

Cheers for any help

My hightop is going in at the beginning of november,
quote is for £3750.
Although £750 is to repair and respray Factory bodykit and another £750 to fix/ weld roof gutters which are quite bad.
So that makes it about £2250 for a windows out respray.
It's a lot of cash and will bust my balls, but will be worth it.

hi Guys you will be looking anywhere from £3k to £4.5K depending on the severity of rust.
Factors that will lower or raise the price is how many new panels are needed and how much interior needs to be removed so as to be able to weld areas without fire risk and to attain access.
Also to do the job properly windows will need to come out repairs made to window recess's etc.
this is a guide only and any decent bodyshop will want to meet with you and your bus to be able to see what your bus needs

regards doug
