How easy is it to change a cam belt on a 1.6TD? Please bare in mind that i'm no mechanic. It looks a bit awkward to get at etc but what do I need to do?

All replies gratefully received.

It's straightforward if you have the tools.
Do you have the tools?

Does it require specialist tools? Or standard stuff?

Ideally you need the tool to lock of the camshaft and the pin to lock off the injection pump.

I had a go at doing mine this morning.
Failed!
One of the 4 socket headed bolts on the front pulley is foobarred, can't get a hex key to bite.

Looks like I'll have to go and see my man.
