This topic has probably been discussed many times but am struggling to find any reference at the moment...

Running a 1.9AAZ Diesel engine (swapped over from a 1.6JX), I have come across a 5 speed petrol box, code 091, out of a low milage van. Will this fit my engine, will it give any improvement over my std 5 speed box?

code ain't 091, as it'll be an 094 gearbox if it's a 5 speed.

code is stamped on case 4" down from reverse switch housing

ABN out of 1.9 petrol is exactly the same as 3H out of a 1.6TD, only difference is input shaft and bellhousing
