That depends on how dirty it is, maybe hire a carpet cleaner from Homebase or similar?

HG product, carpet/upholstery cleaner, they do one specifically for cars, but I prefer the domestic one.

Just tried turtle wax foam spray with its included plastic brush did a good job, clean and fresh. About £7.50 a tin , will do both rear and front seats with a bit to spare.

for deposits that are tough to clean
You need suction ..and lot's of it
make up a solution of non bio like Ariel or Daz and spray it on the area and leave it overnight
you then need to rinse it away so this is where the suction comes in.
An upholstry/carpet vacuum cleaner helps.
