Fuse below the relay is the usual culprit.

i'vw got the day on the motor tomorrow so if it aint the 50 amp fuse below the relay where should i start looking?

are any of the relays in the fusebox related to the engine bay electrics, i gotta see if my local ibary has a manual that covers the diesel tomorrow morn, i have a multimeter & a box of blade fuses & electrical connectors at the ready!

obviously i need to sort it asap as i need to shift my motor :O/

Have you double checked the glow plugs, even if new, why not try one directly on a 12v battery to see if it heats up properly (obviously holding with pliers). You'd be surprised how many new plugs are defective unless buying the best.

Well just a thought.

fixed this problom, on my crewy it turned out to be the flippin earth strap on the gearbox had snapped, it was making errrrrrr some contact of types! but a new earth strap on it & all electrics work as they should!
