Wheel arch repair - structure?

Hi All,

I have recently bought a T25 Autosleeper.

The wheel arches are rotten (along with sills, window surround, valance etc) so I am underway with repairs, but, what is the wheel arch structure?

Does the inner wheel arch come round and go inside the lip of the outer arch or is the arch single skinned?

I know it's an odd question, but my arches are so rotten and full of filler it is impossible to tell!

Thanks

Follow Metalmickey's thread - that should help you: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=68856 - 10 pages or so of welding and fabricating joy. I'm sure he won't mind if you PM him to clarify anything you're not sure of. Theres also a lot in the WIKI too.

Clearly Metalmickey has done a lot on his but it gives a great pictorial explanation of how the panels all fit together.

WIKI articles for sills and wotknot are here: https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Main_Page#Rust

Welcome by the way!

The inner wheel arch is one piece and it bends down to form the lower part of the outer arch.

You may find that you will have to replace the entire panel. I did mine basically the same as MetalMicky.
Just make sure you don't leave a dent in the panel... its very easy to leave a dent.
