i have been getting some prop vibration for a while now from 40mph to 45ish mph then it would come back if and when i ever go above 70mph, any how i emailed the refurb company and they siad the would need to see the prop to measure the uj's and the rubber damper to be able to source the replacemants. they did not have any stock of the ujs as in there words they were an arigicutual uj. nor would it be easy for them to source the rubber damper.

so they let me use there office computer to order the ujs and the damper from baxter. the cost for the insterlation of the 2 ujs the damper replace the small bush in side the prop (which the said they have in stock) and to balence the prop £64+vat. and it will be done with in 24h of receving the stuff from brickwerks.

could not have been more helpfull lets hope all those vibes go away when i get it back.

i just did mine on the doka with the ujs from Baxter. just changed the ujs not the rubber and i didn't get it balanced and it is like a different beast now. well worth the time and money. and if you can get the whole proper job done for that money then even more worth it.

PS, brickwerks say to use the blanking plugs off your old ujs...my old ones didnt have any. no holes at all. so i tapped the new ones out to m8 and threadlocked in some shortened m8 stainless steel socket buttons. it seems to have done the trick.

I had mine done at recoprop luton a couple of months ago. UJ's from BW as recoprops were much dearer. Didn't have balanced or doughnut replaced.
The vibrations at 40-50 mph have gone and now smooth as silk. New nuts and bolts on refitting also!
