how longs a piece of string?

Hi,
Just been offered a 1999 syncro 2.5tdi with 71500miles transporter body, full history at VW garage.
I have to make a blind bid, what do you reckon she's worth.
My plan is to keep if I get it.
Thanks,
Jon

I know its not a t3, but was thinking of it as a work van, are they any good?
its being offerred by a local government department to staff, so should go for a good price.

having only driven a T4 a little bit all I can say is I prefer the T3, but then I prefer the T3 to anything else, driving the scooby outback it's ok, and sure it's quick but actually not as nice to drive as the syncro for me; there's not many T4 folk on here hence my suggestion, you'll get a lot more response over there

Have a look round autotrader; probably give you more of a clue than anything the 80-90 Syncronauts could come up with.
Consider mileage, condition, useage (heavy/light) service history etc; try and get a benchmark for a 2wd transporter around the same criteria and then decide whether your prepared to pay any more for the almost useless syncro version
