Steel pipe in rear floor, is it required?

I have a steel square section tube stuck in the rear floor of my camper. I'm unsure whether it's meant to be there, and since i'm looking at reinstalling an interior i'd like to know if i can pull it out to give me a flat floor. I'm thinking it could have been a converted panel van and this was some kind of seat anchorage? EIther that or i have to build up around it to achieve a flat floor?

Thanks a lot

How's it "stuck"
Removing it will not cause any problems.

Thank you, only small concern was if it was a chassis brace of some kind.

Looks likes it a rail for a row of seats...

Is there another one somewhere? In the cupboard?
