I have been doing up a 1.6D 1983 van for 3 years, during this time I have replaced the gutters and most of the adjoining roof, full length rear offside corner panel, both rear arches full panels, middle near side panel, bottom of sliding door, all sills, front section above bumper, sections of the rear panels behind bumper, replaced all window seals, welded in sections around front windscreen (van is now water proof), various sections of floor in load bay and front passenger/drivers foot well both front seat belt anchor points, steering track rods, CV and steering gaiters. Van has been fully insulated and all the internal furniture (replaced with second-hand ebay), all wiring replaced, made a battery tray, replaced all wheel bearings and break components, replaced rear door, nearly finished painting with Rustoleum! The van passed its MOT a week ago and Garage said I had done a good job as they dread it when someone books a vehicle in having said it has just been restored! I am now looking forwards to taking "Bert" out for a few trips, I am writing this to thank all those that have answered my many questions over the past 3 years and for the many interesting and useful threads that are posted. This site is an invaluable source of information for the T25 owner. PS all work has been undertaken in my drive so it is possible to complete large task in the open (bit cold in winter though).

Excellent job sir! Good to know all things are possible to us without garages.

Looking forward to waving at you on the road!
