Anybody had experience of the dieselkontor rebuilt VC?
Wondering if they're any good, because at 429.50EUR they're significantly cheaper than "the other one."

Thanks, read all that but can't see that it says if their rebuilt VCs are any good. Wondered if anyone has bought and fitted one, and how it's performing.

I haven't heard of any one who has bought one. We all seem to head towards 'the grumpy man' in Switzerland because we know his stuff works. It appears that neither Syncro Services or Jager are selling refurbed VC's anymore

Hi, don't know if this helps but I bought some stuff weeks ago and it hasn't been delivered.
They promised it would be here over a week ago, won't answer my emails and now the 'phone doesn't work.
Whilst they say they will take Paypal or Visa they refuse when you place an order.
I'd take care.
If you want I'll let you know how I get on.

Interesting. I was trying to get a trading arrangement going with them, with my good friend in Austria doing the detailed negotiations. Came to nothing after it was suggested I email them to say "thanks for talking to my friend etc."
Not a dicky bird.

For the second day running their number just rings out as engaged.
Not sure if this is the German equivalent of 'number discontinued' or just a problem that they are taking their time to fix.
Worried it may be the former.
Still no email contact.
Bought a few bits for myself and others so am rather hacked off.
Will give them until Monday and then post a separate thread warning all and sundry!

I'll be seeing my Austrian friend fairly soon and he'll probably be on the phone before he comes to the UK. I'll get him to have a chat with Herr Weber at Dieselkontor and sound out what's going on.

Be really pleased if you could. Tom seemed a decent bloke when I spoke to him and I've paid him quite a lot of cash as he wouldn't take Paypal or Visa as his website indicated.

Just had an email from Dieselkontor and managed to ring them back.
They say that road works knocked out their telephone and internet for two days.
Still no news on my delivery though.
Klaus says he will look into it.
Let's hope he sorts things out and I get my bits
Still think care is the order of the day.
That and use Visa or Paypal so you have some security!

Well, what a strange approach Dieselkontor have to customer service
I saw they had an offer of free shipping for all orders over 99 Euro. I read and re-read to make sure it applied to UK. No mention of it not doing, it was in English, and when I got to checkout (having put UK address for delivery) it showed "shipping 0.00 EUR".
Happy days
I ordered my parts (99.90euro) from them and got confirmation email (again showing the free shipping) asking for payment by cheque/money order. I replied asking how I send a cheque in pounds, and what conversion rate to use, or if I could pay by Paypal instead (as their website says you can).
The reply didn't answer the questions, just "we prefer IBAN-BIC payment" without any further details.
Then a long email in German with bank details (which I managed to translate with Google translate), and another invoice attached showing 19.90 euro shipping charge!
I found out how to do IBAN from my bank, and sent the original payment requested (free shipping) via IBAN (costing me £9 bank fee). Also emailed say I'd sent payment, and to point out the error in charging for shipping. That's when it got nasty...
3 replies to polite emails, as follows...
"thanks for your message
please check our website terms "shipment" for your information
fright free flat is just valid inside germany"
"dear customer
your order has been deleted automaticly because of no B2B customer"
"dear customer
your payment has been refunded automaticly yesterday
our webpage says clearly about the shipping rates and we are not interested
to discuss this not existing matter"
No bits, and £9 worse off, with no apology. CHARMING!

Not worth using then. Cheap is as cheap does. Maybe he's just not an Anglophile?
