Turbo query...KKK or Garrett..which is the one to go for?

Hey folks. Hope you are all keeping well this weekend.
Quick question I have. Sent my JX KKK turbo off to be refurbed but the reply was it was really beyond repair. I am in the middle of building up an AAZ to replace the JX.....
Anyway, they had a brand new one on the shelf which had been there for a while and were willing to do me a deal. Sounded like a plan and when I opened the box today was surprised to find the two turbos were not the exact same.
The one they sold me is not a KKK but rather a Garrett TAC609. Question I have is will it do the job on the AAZ?
Have searched here and it seems that the majority of JXs came with the K14 but some had a Garrett. If the Garrett does the job, great, but if it is a inferior turbo, then would be good to know and send it back to them and demand a refund.
Any guidance ??
