Pop-top conversion

Hi,
I'm looking to convert my 1987 tin-top to a pop top. Does anybody know of any relatively cheap conversion specialists? I did plan to have it done by a chap in Chorley, Lancs (for a bargain 700 quid!), but I have just been informed that he no longer does this. I live in North Lancashire, but don't really mind where I have to travel to - I'm not looking to spend huge amounts of money, so any top tips or advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks, Mark

Go to Timber Technicians http://www.timbertechnicians.co.uk/13301.html and have a proper roof fitted. :ok

I've been looking for a poptop too, the only place I've found that does them on a T3/T25 is O'Connors campers:
http://www.vwcampervanroofs.co.uk/type-25.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But they are the best part of 3 grand fitted plus VAT!
Way out of my price range, and even then hard to justify that much money. They do a DIY version for 1750 plus VAT.
I keep scanning fleabay for s/hand ones but they rarely seem in good condition, I will give up eventually and get a shiny timber techs hightop!
