Hi all,

Could anyone please tell me the correct rotor arm to put on the 1.9DG engine. I have just serviced my van and replaced like for like as there was some very bad signs of bad contact within the cap. However after driving just 50 miles with the new set up the arcing marks have returned. I have not driven a car for some time which utilisers a distributor cap and rotor arm, but I can never remember them in the past doing this so soon.

The cap is a Bosch J10205 and the rotor arm is the governed one with the 5400 cut out part no J10514.

Cheers

I will check the distributor tommorow, I have noticed that the lead running to number 1 cyclinder is very tight as it needs to bend over almost double to fit underneath the air filter box, I have been wondering if the lead set is ok. I have seen a photo of anouther 1.9DG were the lead fits all the way around the back of the carb to reach the number 1 plug.
