Westy lean - but only at rear!

Hi Guys, aiming to lower the van over the coming months. As its a camper, and guided by the info Si Baxter has posted on the subject, Im sure that 50mm is the change to aim for, maintaining enough height for comfort when fully loaded but improving looks, handling etc all round.
I'm currently running 225/60 R15s on alloy rims.
Ive just (roughly) measured the current clearance, I have 80mm at the front on both but at the rear there's currently a marked difference. 90mm on the lhs but 110mm on the rhs. Curious as to why this may be.
Ive heard that campers can lean to the side where the furniture et al all is (mines a lhd import) but I would have thought there'd be a difference both front and rear. Is that too simplistic?
Also not sure whether there is a need to replace the shox when I put the lower springs on. Looking back at the receipts I have, the shox arent the originals and were rpelaced by the previous owner Jul 2008 at about 183k kms - its currently on C220k kms. Receipt just specifies 1 of, but at 230 euro in 2008, I would guess that 1 of means a full set and just a pair. Tho I guess that depends on the make and quality of the shox.
