Hi all

First time on the forum have recently bought a 1980 joker 1 and have started to try and get things working, don't seem to have any power from the 2nd battery to the tap, water pump or fridge.( Leisure battery light lights up as does water meter light) Have tested pump on seperate power supply and it works fine. The relay that fits under the drives seat does this control all the power to the camping interior, how do i know if this is faulty. Only manual I have is in german and the translations on babelfish don't make much sense. Has anyone else had similar problems could use some advice. Thanks Gill

I'm not an expert on camping electrics but

The relay under the drivers seat is probably the split charge relay that controls charging of the leisure battery when the engine is running.
This relay stops the camping interior from draining the main van battery.

The fridge should only be run on battery when you have the engine running (it will draw 8 - 10A) so it may well have a relay to control this.

Is the switch for the pump working? these can fail.
There may be fuses to protect the lights etc

Get a cheap multimeter it will save you a lot of poking around.

Thanks for all the help. Ade don't appear to have any fuses behind my B posts only the one between the leisure battery and the relay. The fuse on the fridge and the fuse to water pump all seem to be working. However have no power going to the water tap switch (checked with volt meter) or the fridge. Have looked at the diagram on the techy bit but i appear to have more wires then they do. It doesn't look like it has been messed about though. The van is early 1980 joker was there any differences on the later ones. Have been looking for a coloured wiring diagram for the camping electrics does anyone know if there is one available. Thanks
