Anyone on here got any knowledge of this ,
single oven , grill works ,switch to oven and fan runs but no heat, turn oven stat up from zero and no sound ,ie;click no light coming on, so is this likely to be the stat goosed ,
suppose best way to check would be to meter the element or withdraw it and give it some 240v

Usually just the element gone - just done mine last week for the 2nd time in 15 years.
Elements from
http://www.elementman.com quick delivery and seems to have all makes.
Electric off!!!
Cover off inside of oven covering element, one or two screws holding element to body.
Rear oven cover off, couple of screws holding element in place, remove terminals.
remove element.
Then reverse.
Along those lines depending on your make/model.

Yep follow that ,have used element man in the past, thing is i have 3 other ovens and on each of them if I turn the temp control a small ammount you can here a quiet click and if oven is on then heat is called for, on this oven there is no click and no light so I am trying to determine if this is stat or element.
probably easiest to whip it out and test, £28 for element and £58 for stat!

Stats sometimes can get vaporized grease coating their innards - bit of switch cleaner. Pray it isn't the stat! (my element is only £19.50!)

Hm then I think I will remove the oven and bring it back to my works and strip and sort it.
