Hello again!

Been reading through various posts and am a little concerned about a couple of things:-

When I was checking my dizzy alignment last night, I removed the dizzy from the driveshaft and noticed that the fairly new seal I had put on from my mates (?! ) at JK had split into 2 parts. I decided therefore to fetch it out but after getting 1 half out, the other half disappeared somewhere into the depths . Is this likely to have gone into the engine and therefore will this be likely to cause damage or block my oilways? It was a flimsy rubber seal.

Second thing - noticed lots of posts about fitting rocker gaskets and whether or not to use grease, sealants or not,etc. I recently replaced our gaskets and upon driving a mile up the road to get MOT'd, oil was p*%sing out. The garage advised me to use Tigerseal to fix this which I did and hey presto no more oil leak. My concern now having read some of the other posts is that this could also lead to blocked oilways? Is this a valid concerns or am I just being a tw@?

Chances are it;ll get chewed up and end up in the sump or end up in the sump anyway. Not worth stripping the engine to find it.

I hoped someone would say that. Only just engine back together so thought of stripping again not good! Fingfers crossed...

The rubber band is in the depths! Long live the rubber band!
The sealant may fall off and end up in your sump if you splodged it on but it's got to get past your oil pump first which is going to destroy it like a steam roller over an egg and then it's got to get past the filter, which I can assure you is a lot finer than any oilway and is not going to let something like that past!
