In the borders (I'm off work next week and bored!) I came across this really weird landscape near to Llangollen.

never veering off the A5 apart from camping at the Abbey I have no Idea what these marks are - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie= ... 9&t=h&z=16 they look pretty extra-terrestrial to me!!

does anyone know?

Hay making on the higher slopes, they don't cut all off the grass (just strips) due to ground conditions and other factors.
