Thanks. I, or should I say Syncrospares, have done the following. I have mostly been hanging around like a bad smell learning bits where I can.

Re Spray (inlcuding painting handles & wiper arms)
New clutch
A bit of minor welding under slider door where the roller channel has rotted
compression test/tune engine
New leisure battery
Rear seatbelts fitted
4x4 overhaul, new actuator
New speedo drive
New steel frame R & R bed for saftey
New Rear lens on light
Curtain tracks
Elec overhaul on leisure side
New decals
New 15' Merc steels with BFG AT tyres

Just ironing our a couple of bumps and it will be ready for a trip to france next summer to find some decent waves with the family. Can't wait!

Oh .....and fitted a new propex heater, saftey net to the high top and a JK fridge. I also think I need to underseal it before winter so thats next on the list. I would like some spots/fog lamps on the front but think I might have to wait and see what farther xmas brings for those as I am now skint!

Like it, but get rid of those alloys!
How does the renting work with your insurance?

The alloys are well gone..........on a syncro white westy actually, but not mine. The top pic with the white steels is what it looks like right now.

Insurance is a pain in the a***. Its done on a hire by hire basis by the 24hr period and is a bit of a faff. Its my first summer in the hire game and is going ok but not without its worries. Still.......all for the love of an old bus hey.

I like both your buses :ok

What size tyre have you got in that spare wheel carrier on the Syncro? Mine are 205/70x15 but I'm not sure whether I could fit them in the space :?:

Yep, same as the others, the carrier just took a little modding to get it in there.

On the Tristar spare wheel carrier... I have a Westy Syncro (also from Syncrospares - I saw yours when it was being finished off) My spare is in a normal T25 carrier albeit a bit modded to fit the BFG 15" in there.

The Tristar arrangement looks the biz as it allows for front skid plate. Does anyone know of where to get a pattern as it doesn't look too hard to weld up a home made version - I've got no money left for a new one already!! I'd love a rear carrier but thats going to have to wait a loooooong time!

Will put some pics of mine up when I have time to get some decent ones.
