1X engine conversion issues

Ok I've just bought an 86 Carat which has been upgraded from a petrol/auto to a diesel/manual. The engine came from a T4 and is a 1.9D, so I think this makes it a 1X because I have no ECU etc. It runs fine but I feel the conversion is only 95% done. Can anyone help on the following topics?
1) Tacho not working/wired - I checked the forums and I see people mention connecting it to the alternator and then recalibrate at the instrument cluster, does this work?? If so what wires should I be looking for?
2) Power steering belt not connected due to 2nd crank pulley missing - Does the 2nd pulley just bolt on and if so what engines can I take one off (belt size??)
3) Flywheel partly visible - Is there a plate missing or do I have to fabricate one up?
4) Eberspacher not working due to no fuel tank - Any recommendations on a small alternative second fuel tank and where to fit it?
5) Gear shift adjustment - Is there a procedure for this as 2nd is sometimes a bit of a struggle to find.
