Dare I say the pricing is a bit on the strong side - or have I been lucky in getting some good deals recently?

You may be right, but what is the going rate for a good, low mileage gearbox these days?

I didn't pay anything like that for a rhd pas setup last month ok , no steering wheel in my deal but so what?

gearbox could be good value for money as could front diff if you get the deal on a pair and some bits if the vc is a useable one........there are very few bargains to be had anymore and CJ worked hard to make money on what he turned over and scarcity makes for higher prices

What would any of you spend money on new if you had a wish list of T3/syncro parts - I ask in all seriousness as I was asked this question today by ClassicParts in Germany - particularly pertaining to the gearbox obviously was the context in which I was asked but seriously what would YOU lot spend proper money on now or see yourselves doing so in the future if it was available genuine oem quality not chinese copy

I reckon panels like they told us on the factory tour at Hanover -

these old presses we now use to make spare parts

what do you want/need/have the musthaves for ?

I dont remember putting "one lady owner", maybe you should read the ad again!

and this is the reason we dont allow replies in the for sale sections.folks start having a pop at the seller or what they are selling.as it happens £500 is about the going rate for a full rhd pas system.

I do apologize. It wasn't meant as a direct pop at the vendor. The discussion shouldn't have been started.

To follow Aidan's detour, I reckon Classic parts need to look at the soft furnishings market i.e. oem seat covers, foams, carpet sets, headlinings etc. as well as little things like gutter trim!
Re-making some of the rarer and desirable accessories would be a winner too.

To reply to Aidans question. I recon good quality body panels would be a good start. Interior rubber mats, cables, speedos.

Dont be silly. Then they wouldn't be desirable or rare. Make the basics - seat covers, carpets, mouldings and trim

Thats good pricing and fair ball to the guy for making a few bob. £1000 for a good box, front diff and VC? Yes please.

£520 for a complete power steering system - good deal!

But they would sell and that's what Classic Parts are interested in. Not dead stock.

I don't begrudge anyone for making a few quid and I'm doubly chuffed about my recent pas purchase now
