Does all the tinware etc need to be removed prior to removal? Can the engine be refitted fully built up, with tinware etc? Would be good if it could but suspect not.
Thanks

Thanks Lee, I did read this but just want to clarify. So if I have an engine sitting here fully assembled, I can literally undo wires, cables, pipes etc, unbolt in 1 piece, drop out, replacement in, connect back up and off we go?
Spooky! I'm collecting my replacement from Durham on Saturday

Yup, leave all tinwear on, just disconnect and move all pipes, cables etc. 4 bolts, 2 on either side of of the engine mount, starter motor and Belhousing bolts and out she comes. One thing that i have recently discoved is to take off the gear shift selector guide on the gearbox so that you don't bend it if you drop the gearbox too far down.
If you are fitting your Dells, I would leave them off and block the inlet ports until you get the engine in situ.

Sorry about the delay, but yes, it comes out complete.
Taking the carbs off makes things slightly easier as you don't have to have the van up quite so high.
