Indicators and hazard switch problems

Hi
My indicators will only work when my hazard switch is balanced half way, neither on or off. The indicator light on the dash is also constantly on while driving . Have checked fuses, changed the relay and tried a new hazard switch. None of which have solved the problem.
Anybody have any ideas?
Cheers Paul

The LED will illuminate if the 12V supply is not available from the fuse to the Hazard switch. There are two fuses, one for hazards (16A)and one for normal flasher operation (10A). Both fuses route a 12V supply at the Hazard switch and the hazard switch then routes one of these 12v Supplies to the flasher relay depending on which flasher mode is selected:-
Emergency flasher postion via the 16A fuse
Normal flasher via the 10A fuse.
Holding the switch in the middle position suggests that you are just managing to get the contacts in the switch to provide the 12V supply from the 16A fuse and hence your flashers work and the led blinks normally. I suspect that you do not have a 12V supply arriving at the Hazard swich (Sw cnx 15 marked on rear odf hazard switch) from the 10A fuse.
1. Check that you have 12V arriving at terminal 15 of the Hazard switch, if not then you need to check the copper terminals that hold the fuse in place as some have experienced problems with them after discovering the the fuse was OK.
2. Check for any floating wires that may have become disconnected at the rear of the fuse box.

Agree with Angelo. Its often at the fusebox. Sometimes a fuse can look ok too - until you pop it out and really check it - or as he says, poor connections in there or poor earth.
