Distributer differtences?

Hi All
Finally started work back on the T25 project that#s been blocking my drive for 2 years. Anyway fitted the 2nd hand engine in which had a distriubter already fitted. However its a different (older) type with points in. My one has the wires coming out that go to the box on the engine bay etc (can post pics if needed?). So I thought I'd take that out and stick my one in as it'll connect up etc. But when I took the old one out my expecting to drop mine in its place I noticed my rotor arm would be about 1/5th further round. Do I just retime it? Its so long since I've been near a distirbutor my brain cant remember how they time up and my manual is sitting tucked away in my Mums loft. I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious here?

Do a search for "009" or "Retrobodge" and that should shed some light on the subject.
