I say cam, I mean the other end of the white bit that is still rivetted on, next to the diaphragm ball pin.
Or have I got it wrong? Really not read up on these carbs yet...
I keep forgetting that I've got ETOS How much is that rebuild kit btw?
Gearbox shrapnel in the post to you
UPDATE: The throttle spindles aren't listed...part of the lower carb body.

That's the fast idle screw you are after??

White plastic cap is now blue part 049-129-375A
Spindle, as you call it, is discontinued

However the throttle lever which looks to include these parts is available

025-129-343E £12.94+vat

Look at this picture http://autopartmaster.com/en/?action=ca ... _pic=49542" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cap is part number 28a
spindle is part 24a
Throttle lever assembly is 22

I need the part that should go behind the diaphragm rod to contact the metal cam on the primary throttle spindle. It's not on the diagrams at all (that russian one is a straight copy of the one in etka)
If spindles are NLA I'll need another carb body with a good one :(

Cheers Aidan. The magic numbers are:

025129 015 H

VW/AU 0 073

It's for a 1990 (H plate) Caravelle 1.9 DG 5-speed (non-pas)

unfortunately the bottom section of the carb with the butterflies in is a complete assembly and not available seperately anyway you'll have to find a good used carb, shouldn't be too hard

I think I need to look at remaking that plastic "cam" in brass and doing them on exchange, rivetted up and ready to go. There must be demand as there are loads of carbs in use out there, unless Classic parts have already beat me to it...

It says "ask about 2E3 for 1300 and Transporter" :ok
If the work is a good as they claim then it should be money well spent - £170 for a refurb to your own unit.

Finally got to look at the carb from another DG, compare this to the first image I posted up and the missing cam can be seen:

I always use Roger Ball if I have a carb that needs parts no longer available but if you hunt out a tool-shed engineer, they should be able to make that for you easy enough. I just use Roger because hes such a perfectionist. Clacton, but does mail order. His details are in my profile - under 'interests'.
