hi just been given an audi with a 1z turbo lump in it i've currently got a 1y na in my t25 what would i need, an need to do to swap these over cheers

what gearbox have you got ?

If you go TDi then you'll have to sort a longer gearbox to get the best out of it and get decent cruising speed, if yours is an old NA van then it'll only do 50-55 with the TDi in it

you'll have to do a bit of work with the manifolds and turbo and oil feed to same to make it work and modify the sump for oil return from turbo, ideally you'd want a chargecooler to keep charge air temps down, though you can do effective intercooler with some care

oh and fit a spigot bearing

hi cheers for that i have fitted a dk gearbox as the selectors went in my old box i just need to swap the diff's over as the one in new box whines (is this a hard job )

Best to speak to Aidan that has replied earlier in your post hes "God of the T25/T3 gearbox" will tell you everything you need to know but remember you pay for quality.....buy cheap pay twice is what i always think. Good luck with the conversion
