Afternoon all.need some help.my 2-0 Aircooled eng at times has a life of its own,and as per advise im goin through it bit by bit.so far so good.wit i need to know is from the vacum unit there should be a lenght of pipe work.mine has none,where should this go to and whats its function. Oh anf wot size socket do i need to remove the oil pressure switch.

Mine goes from Vacuum unit to air filter, but there is a t piece that spilts it and takes it round the back of the filter somewhere. Someone will be along to correct me soon but I think it's the Advance retard thingy bob.

From memory (I haven't got solex's anymore) the upper most pipe on the vacuum advance goes to the n/s carburettor and the bottom one goes to an attachment at the front of the air cleaner.
As I said working from memory so dont take my word for it.
