Fog light is special light designed to penetrate deeper in conditions of poor visibility. Fog light is intended for use at low speed to increase the visibility towards the road surface in conditions of poor visibility due to fog, rain, snow or dust. Front Fog Lamps are generally aimed and mounted at lower portion of your bumper.

He's right. I'd guess you bought a rear light from a LHD vehicle.

Presumably you have a left hooker?
What you have to do is become creative with the one you have and create one in the right hand cluster. Do a search of the forum and you will find several mentions of it.

or disconnect L/H fog and run that wire to a fog light bolted under r/h bumper - usually quickest solution if you're trying to get it through MOT in a hurry.

Are the bulb holders handed? If not cant you just switch them round and extend the lead from the n/s loom to o/s loom for the fog light?

I don't think there is a bulb holder in there.(Offside) Hence being creative.

Mine just got knocked back on not having a rear fog light.Apparently any vehicle after 1980 should have one on the offside. When I got back home and looked the offside was wired for one but the light unit had no terminals in it the nearside one did have however and the inner part of the lamp unit is interchangeable, you just swap sides and turn it upside down.Dont know if the Hella units are like this but mine is ULO and they do

If you have the option, it's generally better to have a matched pair of rear foglights, which must be at least 100 mm, from any brake light.

The rear foglight requirement, also applies to trailers manufactured after circa October 1979.
