same problem? 2.1 dosn't run

after driving from Yorkshire to oban the van wouldn't start AA came and towed home.have been reading the info given about the same problem,now the question, is a Afm and the Ecu from a 19 dg compatible with 2.1dg ,i'm lucky to have a 1.9 Auto bus to use as spares.

i do know a manual ecu is different to an auto one..

DG doesnt have ecu or AFM as a carb engine. so if it has FI it was most likely not a DG originally and a DG has been put in in place of the DJ that was in there...
Auto and manual ECU's are different and an auto wont run as well on the manual ecu... check the part numbers on any ecu you find..
Could be many things that are not working, so unless basics have been checked there is little point changing ECU or AFM..
Is there fuel getting to injectors?
Is there a spark at the plugs?
In either case, if no... then need to track back to see where fault lies..
