cab door handle return spring

mine has snapped, which means opening the door is like entering the crystal maze. thats great the day after i put it up for sale......... 
I can see that the spring would hold the catch on the lock, enough that the rod attached to the inner door handle wouldn't fall off like it does at the mo.
Has anyone been able to just get hold of the spring? or is it the entire mechanism you need to buy from a breaker?
