Hi each,

Just been on Wiki but can't find anything that covers this one I'm afraid so if anyone has any ideas, much appreciated as usual please amigos?

Basically we were camping last week and just as the heavens were about the open up and rushed to get out of the rain!, the sliding door on our LHD, '85, Bilbo camper came off in our hands, doh!

Have now replaced the 'pulley/roller' bit - apparently this fault is fairly common after years of use?! - C/O Mr. B at Brickwerks, but the main gripe now is getting it/door back on and on to the slot
that the 'pulley' rides in. Taken the cover off the mechanism etc so can easily get at it and work on etc, but just can't quite lift it the extra 2mm or so to get the pulley onto the running track

Just wondering if anyone has done this job before/any tips that might make it a bit easier? Any help, always appreciated.

Is there not a small cut out on the bottom of the runner to allow refitting????

I took the top roller off, located the lower part and then re-attached the upper roller

There certainly is on the early model, dont know about later ones. It should be a fairly straight forward affair if you have the notch cut out of the runner channel. Failing that, what Ian said

defo a notch bit on later ones ! had the door on ours on and off loads whilst welding!
