Mods to rear valance when fitting big exhaust to T25

Hi, have fitted an EMPI twin box exhaust to my 2 litre T25 and it fouls the rear valance. What is the generally accepted method of sorting this? I could bend it backwards, forwards or cut it off!

I always modify the part being fitted instead of the body of the van because the van body will always last longer than the part being fitted and what happens when you want to fit another type. much less hassle to mod the exhaust than regret just cutting the valance for clearance when the exhaust will only last 2-3 years. there not great to be honest.

just fit a metal spacer block between engine support bar and bodywork, mine only hit rear valance when starting up , this is sometimes due to worn engine mounts

I did the same on my van about 8mm should be enough. Dont spoil the valance to fit the exhaust you will regret it, I fitted the exhaust started the engine didn't like the noise and put the old exhaust back on.

Surprised if the Empi hasn't already decayed away ? It's over 3 days after all :rofl
