Idle cut??

OK Hi all.
I have a GW 1.9 eng. runs OK. round town good. however. a long run or a run using high revs (ie uphill) when I come to a stop, enging stops!! service items cx`ed new pump. (btw this happened before service when i bought it 3 months ago). idle control (behind light) cx`ed bit better. When on a run down the motorway I can hear what sounds like eng. missing but no judder, a very low freq. bubbleing!!
Now i am thinking it could be a fuel problem because on looking at the tank, which the previous owner put on, the outlet pipes are the same diameter. Is the injection outlet notably different. could the fuel system be cavitating at hight speed so when I come to a stop just air and a little fuel into injectors and compete stop!!
thanks for your time
K

Unfortunately I got no replies. However problem solved. The gaps on the exhaust valves were to tight thus leaving the exhaust valve slightly open. gaps all reset. runs like a dream. :P
