Hi, I have a sink with a tap in my camper- very nice! but it doesn't work. I have checked the fuses in the fuse bit and the fuses in the Zigzag bit. I have put water in my tank. but the tap doesn't work. I can't seem to get the fridge out to check behind.
Has anyone got any bright ideas or does anyone know anyone that can pop round and have a poke?
thanks :?

the micro switches in the taps are very fragile. best get a voltmeter out and start testing the wires that go to/ from the pump/ zig unit. I wired mine up from scratch, took a while and I replaced the skanky water pipes whilst I was at it, on an autohomes, what conversion is it?

Is it tap with a little twisty turny round knob? if its like my old one the tiny little frail metal connectors inside that burnt out or broke, the top should pull off, if they are busted then chuck it and get a new one, most caravan shops do them.

Thanks, off to check now. Had lid of yesterday and little metal bit looked ok, but will check with multi meter once I found it. Do you think that the wires go to the rear of the cupboards?

update:
I have checked fuses -again! all ok
I have dismantled top of tap and in my joy of getting lid off pinged micro switch bit across the van!
got no leccy in tap. so assuming wire may be damaged somewhere.
where would the pump be? would that be buggered?
now not happy and have to get the small peeps to bed!
will keep pondering- where could I take it for someone to have a look?

:(

Hi K-K, You said that your tap's not working but you never mentioned
the pump. Can you hear the pump working? If NO then check foot switch or push button near sink, in-line fuse & electrical connections to pump.
If YES check water pipe from pump hasn't become detached, mine did &
resulted in a whirring noise but no water!

Sorry K-K, You updated quicker than I can type!
The water pump should be in the bottom of the water tank. In the tank on my van it's just possible for me to get my hand into the tank to lift out the pump. Once the pump's out it's easy to check if everthing is ok :D

If you have a posh van you may have some sort of special filler
connection but on my van the water tank is under the rear seat.
There is a circular screw-on lid on top of the tank which when removed allows a hand held hose to put water in.This small 4''ish hole doubles as an inspection hatch.
