Engine out for re-build, now de-greased and ready for a final treat...
Can you paint the main crank case or is it best to leave it as it is?

I use smoothrite silver... or engine enamel.
I used High temp black on the heads

I used this from halfrauds on the crank case.

Its been on now for 7 months and no flaking.

They also do a VHT version for same price - just stands even higher temperatures

Used to get gallon tins of silver and blue from a glass factory, mixed well and never seemed to burn off, cleanliness is also the key
