My temp gauage has stopped moving, shortly after an overheating episode.
I've tried earthing the gauge as per the wiki, but the needle does not rise. however the coolant LED flashes as normal when the igntion is turned on.
I called Brickwerks to see if the could supply a replacement gauge but they said they've never known one fail so it is highly unlikely to be the gauge.. any ideas? :?:

You can test the gauge and dashboard connections. There's some full instructions on how to do this on a thread by AngeloEvs in the wiki and quite few threads on it too. I would guess it's a wiring problem in the engine bay multi plugs.

Have a read of this one, it will explain stuff better than I can https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 06&start=0

Cheers for that..looks like it's a problem in the dash then.

My gauge does not like cold or very hot weather. It has been working since March but will stop again when it gets very hot outside later in the summer. It will start working again in September. They are temperamental! 8) Patrick
