Hi,

I've found a donor vehicle that has a good headliner that I want to transfer into my "panel van with windows".
I need to do the full length including the cab area. I've done a headliner in a karmann ghia but never a T25.

What other bits do I need to salvage from the donor vehicle in order to fit it to my van? Bearing in mind that my van never had a headliner and had carpet stuck to the roof with spray glue. I presume there are some kind of "headliner bows"? Will I need to take out some or all windows to remove the headliner? What tools will I need? Is the headliner in one giant piece or in sections?

David basically you have answered all your own questions, yes to all , when recovering the bows from the donor make sure you get the plastic bits on the end that go into the shell.
the main headliner is one piece but there are seperate bits stuck on the pillars but they may well come away all together
tools none really apart from those to remove the window rubbers, and mostly they can just be pushed out, it's just care, if the seals aren't required you can just cut through them next to the glass and that is recommended for the windscreen as the seal will be full of water and rust 9/10 times so won't be great to reuse and pushing out the screen can crack it, screen is worth a lot more than the seal.
