Temp sender

Hello,
Can anyone offer any advice/opinion on this situation.
Recently had a recon 1.6 TD engine fitted (JX) into my 1988 camper. The engine is one from The Engine Shop and has 12 month/12000 mile warranty. It was fitted by a camper speciailist. The engine has also had new injectors fitted at the same time, along with oil pump and water pump, new belts etc.
The van now starts straight away, no smoke and I am really please with the performance - it is definately more 'sprightly' than the old one we ripped out (also a JX) which was a smoking, noisy and leaky mess!
My only concern is the temperature guage. My old engine always resulted in a position directly above the LED. The new engine is way over to the right, about 3/4. It doesn't vary wildly nor does the LED actually ever come on. I am just concerned that the temp needle should ideally be over the LED.
Now, the garage fitted new temp senders - just thinking out loud, but could it be that the coolant temp sender isn't the right vaeriant/callibration for my van??? (long shot?)
Thanks again!
