Pitted heads

Gave the faces of my 2.1 heads a clean and have noticed how pitted the surfaces that join the bottom end are.
Will i be ok with this amount of pitting? With the gaskets being rubber im thinking they will still seal or I could try some jb weld etc to level them out if need be
