Captain's seat stopped swivelling

Recently had the drivers seat (LHD) off my 1980 Joker to switch out the leisure battery. Didn't take it all the way out, as the press down arm that actuates the rotating base appeared connected in a way that was unclear to me. So just moved it over enough to allow access.

On reconnecting, the seat no longer swivels. Anyone else had this, before I go further into the gubbins?

Harsh but fair.

Right, back to the drawing board.

Next time, just rotate it 180 degrees - then you can get the battery out without removing the seat...

Nice idea, but it's the driver's seat. It rotates through 90 degrees and that's it.

thanks for the thought though.

Are you sure about that? The one on my Westy will rotate 180. It's a bit of a fiddle to get the armrests past the wheel, but it will do it, and its a lot easier than removing the seat...

Sorted. Took it off and put it back on. More Microsoft than cause and effect. Might be linked to the tightness of the 4 nuts on the base?

The drivers seat on this one definitely won't go past 90 degrees. At 90, the rear of the seat is hard up against the side of the wheel. It isn't even close. Must be a slightly different layout on the seat to steering wheel distance.

That said, even if I could get it to 180, it still wouldn't help, as it's the seat base that overhangs the battery tray by a good 2 inches, and of course the actual seat base doesn't rotate, so it would still be sat there. Again, I presume this is a slightly different layout. Maybe done after market.

Cheers, anyway.
