Had to resort to putting the Coolbox under a tarp (clamped to the gutter) at Syncropendence to keep it shaded, as the flinkin thing would NOT light up on gas. Great on 12v but no leisure batt and didn't want the embarassment of jumpleads...it did stay cool all weekend though and then the rain started...
Is there a trick to lighting them if they've not been used for a while? I guess there's a thermocouple to heat, to shutoff on flameout?

usually light no problem, can take a minute to get through enough gas to light and thermocouple may not work first time, trick is patience and check it after 5 mins and relight if necessary ime, but mines a Sibir ie Electrolux cheap brand name with cheap lid but otherwise the same as one twice the price, I think they are all made in the same factory now Waeco or otherwise

Thanks Aidan - I've got it running on the kitchen table, now I'm home - typical. The gas control doesn't do a lot to the flame and if I tap the back the flame changes - dead spider in jet, methinks...
