Knocking noise in steering wheel?

When travelling over bumps I have a slight knocking which appears up be coming from the steering wheel or below. I haven't looked into it yet due to busy at work but would welcome any thoughts on this.

Rack bushes ? Broken drop link ? Worn anti-roll bar bushes ? Worth checking sooner rather than later.

Take lower steering wheel/shaft cowel off and there is a rubber joint near bottom of the shaft. It has two pins that go into the rubber, the holes go oval and then knocks when going over bumps...

Sorry not got round to investigating yet, I have also noticed slight steering wheel play
