Hi all.
wondering if anyone can assist me.
The door handle on my van is completely knackered.
It has come off in my hand, on inspection, the aluminium square has cracked, split apart and unrepairable.
I am sourcing a new handle ( please help if ypu can ) but i am wondering how it stays on square bar ???
It appears that if I get new handle, lock assembly, it just slides onto square bar ????
Cheers

Hi, I take it we are talking about outside handle? the square bar as you call it should be part of the external handle and as is often the case the ally cracks and said bar commes adrift ,known as fubared!
your replacement handle will have the square bar firmly attatched and the handle itself is held into the lock with a screw

Mike, many thanks, that makes alot of sense. as I could not for the life of me fathom out hoe the feck a new handle without the bar attatched would fix to van.

I have not had one on mine for 2 years now as I am blowed if I am paying the money they go for, even used ones !
Anyway, I look at not having one as a "security feature"
