Hi, could anyone tell me what type of engine oil i should use for my 1985 1600cc diesel and if it is available in the high street garage. Many thanks in advance for any advice. Tom.

i used to use halfords synthetic diesel oil in my old oil burner

Quantum Red 15W40 Turbo Diesel Volkswagen's own.

I use 15w 40 mineral inmine and change it very regular.

you can get 15w/40 mineral oil from any shell garage,, it's in the yellow containers
