howdy my 2l Aircooled recently left its mark at the local mot centre (they were'nt happy!) as oil is leaking from the head engine of the push rod tubes

the tubes are roack solid

do i need to remove the engine/ head head to refit new seals?

on my beetle you could by telescopic ones but i havent seen these for a t25 Aircooled? can you get them?

or is there a tempoary seal i can put around them to stop them leaking, as id rather be out using here in this weather and fix her in the winter months
all advice gratefully recieved

The tubes can be removed to replace the seals.Unclip the spring over the rocker cover unbolt the rockers & take out the push rods.Theres a spring wire that goes across the cylinder head that holds the tubes in position. To remove the tubes pull them through the cylinder head.

Telescopic ones wont fit your engine. You can change the pushrod oil seals without removing the head.
Its all in the wiki.

Yes quite right. Thats the advantage of the Aircooled 2ltr - you can change em easily. Can't do that on a waterboxer which is why telescopic ones are the only option other than a strip down.
