LPG not engaging after running on petrol and switching back

My LPG seems to be going a little funny - if I run out of LPG and switch across to petrol all fine, but when I then refill with LPG, switch to middle position to clear petrol out then switch to LPG it doesn't 'take'.

I can hear the LPG switch engage, then another click, the orange light goes out (3 LED's saying full of LPG stay on) but no fuel comes through and I can't start. I've had this problem twice now - eventually it does work and you hear the system engage, but it's a bit random. I've then tried to keep it all running on LPG and it's OK.

Anyone else experienced this or have an idea on fix/repair?

check the green ( the wire connected with the green) wire onto the coil, it tells the LPg brain the engine is running........

Yes, strangely enough I've had this too - just for the last 3-4 days... spooky  For some reason the gas will not come through at all, it did it as you say- intermittantly for a while- sometimes would work, sometimes not, but now its not working at all - either from the swap over during travelling or from start. I've checked the green wire on the coil and all seems fine, can anyone suggest anything else?

any of you two just had the air box off ?
check the wires going to the switches near the vaporiser , i have a habit of knocking one of the little pests off everytime i change my air filter ,

ok, i beleive Mr Shaw is away right now, so in his absence..........

there should be three LPG isolator relays, each one has two contacts, one on the vaporiser, one on the filter ( nr the vaporiser, and one at the tank, in the gas proof box, check the connections to them, they are all spade connections, take them off and put them back on if they dont appear to be at fault, one connection at a time.......
also check the multiplug at the back of the control box on the dash..........

feel free to ring if you are not sure, or ring Pete, i'm sure he wont mind, his number is on the Gasure web site iirc

im experiencing a similar problem with switiching back to petrol...in terms of checking the connections is the best thing to pull a connection out, put it back in then go for a drive, switch it over and test if it works?
cheers

J robi you are letting the carb fill up

i flick to the inbetween (to empty the carb- but didnt think this needed doing when switiching from gas to petrol anyway) until engine splutters, but then i wont engage with the petrol
this happened a good few weeks ago now, havent tried it since, just run on gas. but myrtles off the road at the moment, so will have to give it another go when she's sorted, its just not a nice feeling expecting it to engage and then splutter splutter...

Rob
works both ways , ie you have to empty the carb to run it on gas and fill it to run on petrol

so to "fill it to run on petrol" when ive been running on gas for a month or so whats the best plan?
it has always worked previously
cheers
