Easy - crack wheel nuts off, jack vehicle so rear wheel is well off the ground, then put on axle stands. Now remove the road wheel and the damper - this should be held in place with a bolt at each end, the top has a captive nut.
Now the swing arm will sag. Push it down, remove the offending item and replace with known good.
Assembly is the reverse of dis-assembly, or something like that.

Got a spring you can have for nothing. Charlie Brown syndrome gave me a whole set.
Trouble is its in Birmingham.
If you can find a way to get it to you, I reckon postage about 10 -15 quid as its not light...doddle of a job to do.
